“Zhi & Xing Guizhou” Silk Road Youth Exchange Programme (abbr. as ZXG) has been launched since 2021. ZXG is hosted by Guizhou Provincial Department of Education, organized by the Secretariat of Organizing Committee of China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week and carried out by Guizhou universities and colleges. It will invite over 100 young people from countries along the Belt and Road to visit Guizhou each year for a short-term exchange (or via online method). ZXG is designed to make international youth have further understanding of Guizhou and develop friendship with each other through exchange activities, and finally realize the unity of “Zhi” and “Xing”. ZXG is one of the youth exchange programmes of China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week.
With the theme of “Exploring Guizhou Ecological Enrichment Code”, Guizhou Normal University has held lectures relevant to the regional cultural characteristics as the sub-activity of the “Zhi & Xing Guizhou” Silk Road Youth Exchange Pragam in 2022. The lectures are concerned with ecological wetlands, mountains and clear waters in Guizhou, ecological tourism resources, ecological Qian tea and original ecological ethnic culture. What’s more, the tour to Huaxi National Urban Wetland Park, Qianling Mountain, Guizhou Provincial Museum, Yuhuang Tea Farm and the visit to the intangible cultural heritage of the Buyi ethnic group have helped young foreign friends know more about the status quo of Ecological Guizhou so as to help them decode the Guizhou Ecological Enrichment Code. The activities work as an access for the youth to see the achievements Guizhou people have made in creating a wealthy and ecologically beautiful Guizhou in the near future. Young people from 22 countries have participated in the activity.
